AS2911

The Fibre Repeater Unit provides a method of regenerating a signal between any two FibTel units. The repeater detects the carrier and any varying pulses widths on the incoming fibre in both directiuons and regnerates it on the opposite transmit path.

This effectively allows the distance between any two FibTel units to be doubled.

Depending on the variant of transmit devices being used the distance/loss budget will vary.

Fibre connections are provided via standard ST connectors for both fibre paths and a dc connector is available for power to the device. The unit is also equipped with two front panel lamps to show that carrier has been detected in each direction.
